Why YourToolDeck exists

I built YourToolDeck because I was tired of keeping six browser tabs open just to format some JSON, convert a unit, or generate a quick UUID. Every tool I tried did one small thing surrounded by ads, sign-up walls, cookie banners, or a "Pro" plan dangling behind the feature I actually needed. So I started collecting the bits I use most into a single deck — fast, focused, and free.

What's on the deck

YourToolDeck is a growing collection of small, single-purpose utilities grouped into a handful of categories:

  • Formatters — pretty-print, minify, validate, and compare data like JSON.
  • Calculators — basic, scientific, programmer, and purpose-built tools like the loan calculator.
  • Converters — units, timezones, data formats, coordinates, and more.
  • Generators — passwords, UUIDs, QR codes, phone numbers, test credit card numbers, and other fixtures.

Every tool lives on its own page so you can bookmark exactly what you use and skip the rest.

How it works

Every tool on YourToolDeck runs entirely in your browser. The JSON you paste, the files you drop in, the values you type — none of it is uploaded, logged, or sent to a server for processing. The page loads once, then the work happens locally on your device. That means it's fast, it works offline after the first visit, and the data you're working with never leaves your machine.

There are no accounts and no sign-ups. The site uses a privacy-preserving, cookieless analytics service to count aggregate pageviews — there is no cross-site tracking and no behavioral profiling. The full details live in the privacy policy.

Who's behind it

YourToolDeck is a solo indie project by Leandro Alves — a software engineer who spends a lot of his day in a browser and wanted a deck of utilities that felt like the unix command line: small, sharp, and out of your way. If something is broken, confusing, or missing, that's on me — and I'd genuinely like to know about it.

What's coming

YourToolDeck is an actively growing deck. New tools are added when I find myself reaching for one and can't find a good, ad-free version. If you have a suggestion, send it over — there's a good chance I'd use it too.
